Review: Spark by Lauren Rowe
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spark by Lauren Rowe is a friends-to-lovers, chemistry-packed romance that delivers all the good stuff—angst, passion, swoony moments, and music. Rowe does a fantastic job pulling readers into the world of Kendrick and Ruby, longtime best friends turned bandmates, whose connection is undeniable. The story is full of flirtation, steamy encounters, and heart-tugging tension.
After years of quietly pining for Ruby, Kendrick finally sees the perfect opportunity to test the waters and find out if she feels the same. What unfolds is a friends-with-benefits situation, but Kendrick is still unsure where Ruby’s heart truly lies—and that uncertainty keeps you turning the pages.
I received both the audiobook and a digital copy, but I was completely captivated by the audiobook version (which is rare, since I usually do both). The narrators were perfect for the characters, and the added musical elements gave the experience a unique and immersive feel. The chemistry between Kendrick and Ruby was so sweet, their banter was chef’s kiss, and the spice? Perfectly written. And that epilogue? Pure gold.
Huge thanks to Hambright PR and author Lauren Rowe for the ARC and ACL opportunity!
If you’re a fan of friends-to-lovers romances with sizzling chemistry, banter, and a musical twist, Spark is definitely worth adding to your TBR. It’s a story that will make you smile, swoon, and maybe even hit replay on the audiobook.
