The Honeycrisp Orchard Inn Book Review

The Honeycrisp Orchard Inn Book Review

The Honeycrisp Orchard Inn

If you’ve been following my recent book reviews, you already know I’ve been on a wonderful reading streak these past couple of months. I’m thrilled to say the streak continues—and even better, some of these books have been ARCs. Supporting new releases always feels special, and when they turn out to be this good, writing the review becomes effortless. There’s nothing better as a reader than gushing endlessly about a book you truly loved.

Earlier this month, I received an ARC of The Honeycrisp Orchard Inn via email, and the moment I read the description—plus the fact that it’s fall-themed—I was immediately sold. I dove into it the second I finished my previous ARC, and I’m so glad I did.

In this story we meet Ellie, an event planner in Manhattan whose life unravels in the span of 24 hours: first dumped by her live-in boyfriend, then fired from her job the very next day. With unexpected free time and a broken heart, Ellie returns to her hometown of Harvest Hollow when her mom asks her to help plan the town’s fall festival. What she doesn’t expect is to find herself face-to-face with Aiden, her childhood neighbor and the son of the local orchard owners. To make things even more complicated, both families are counting on the festival’s success—and while Ellie assumed she was the planner in charge, Aiden believes the same thing.

As if that wasn’t enough, Ellie quickly learns they’ll be more than just reluctant co-organizers. When she settles into the small apartment at her parents’ inn, she discovers Aiden is already living there. Now they’re not only working together—they’re roommates too.

Naturally, tensions spark, but amid the disagreements and forced proximity, real sparks begin to fly. Romance, cuteness, flavor, and just the right amount of spice blend together in this perfect fall-themed recipe for love.

I’ll admit, even though I adore all things autumn, I haven’t had the best luck with fall-themed romances in the past—they often left me bored. But this year has been different, and The Honeycrisp Orchard Inn did not disappoint. The story between Ellie and Aiden flows effortlessly, balancing sweet and magical moments with realistic emotions. Not once did the plot feel flat or drag. Instead, it’s full of longing, nostalgia, family, tradition, and that warm small-town charm readers love. And yes—there are even Gilmore Girls references that make it all the more delightful.

The romance is paced beautifully: the chemistry feels natural, the intimacy unhurried yet charged, and the spice is tender and romantic. From the very first chapters, the story pulls you into Harvest Hollow—you can practically feel the crisp fall air, smell the apple pies and pumpkin spice, and live right alongside Ellie and Aiden.

By the time you turn the last page, you’ll be wrapped in cozy autumn vibes and (most likely) have a new book boyfriend to swoon over. The Honeycrisp Orchard Inn is the kind of book that reminds you why fall is such a magical season for reading—cozy, heartwarming, and just the right touch of romance. It’s a story that lingers like the smell and leaves you smiling long after the last page.

The Honeycrisp Orchard Inn comes out on September 9th. Don't miss out on this piece of Fall magic.
